The historic Strand Theatre, a single-screen theater in Hamburg Borough dates back to 1920. Christmas Day, eighty-six years ago, The Strand Theatre first opened with the silent film “The Whistling Devil.” It was not until March 1930 that the first talky “Untamed” was shown.
Today, The Strand Theatre is working to bring you not only movies, but art and culture in all forms. Your suggestions and requests as to what you would like to have available are most welcome. We look forward to having you participate in our classes, workshops and different events and making our vision for The Strand Theatre happen.
